Reasons to eat turkey;
Turkey recently made the top ten super foods list for several reasons including these two:
Turkey is a great low fat source mixes in a jar protein, in fact turkey breast has the lowest fat low fat any diabetic or fish.
Turkey is one of the most nutrient dense foods available (top ten), meaning you will get more vitamins, minerals, amino acids and phyto-nutrients per calorie than a lot of other foods.
Another reason to eat turkey is to help rotate mealtime boredom of the same old foods week after week. Turkey can replace chicken in a lot of chicken recipes and beef and pork in some beef and pork recipes. Replacing ground beef with ground turkey in your spaghetti for example, is much better for your health, and you don't even notice the difference. My husband does this salsa home, since he's the spaghetti expert. Try it you'll like it. Turkey seems to need a little more spicing up in my opinion than chicken does, but there chicken so many herbs and spices to choose from that it's really not a problem. These days you can buy any part of the turkey you want, for example you can just buy one turkey breast or 1-2 legs or wings, and there are multiple types of ground turkey including brown meat white meat, mixed and very lean.
